Sage, who was born in Los Angeles at the age 14 years old, began modeling when she was a little girl. Sage was soon cast as Grace King on the Nickelodeon Teen TV series 'How to Rock.' Also, she was a professional horseman prior to this. The audition she took was for "How to Rock," that became a huge commercial success. She was a part of a range of movies and TV shows during the years following. Her popularity was boosted by her role in the controversial film "The Bling Ring.' The success of her mainstream film was due to her character in the role of Lacey Pemberton, in the film "Paper Towns" as well as Amber Fitch, in the drama series "Crisis". Her other notable roles include her role in the role of Lieutenant Alara Kitan, in the prequel to Star Trek's "The Orville" as well as Lindsay Edgecomb in "Before I fall". Other notable appearances by Sage include music videos as well as film. Sage is currently working on several films that are scheduled to be out in the year 2019.
